Mehmet Yilmaz was born and raised in Izmir, Turkey. His business career began working as a tourist guide in the Turkish Riviera, assisting travelers from CIS countries. He quickly moved into managerial roles with his strong capabilities in sales, marketing and operations. He served as a senior leader in one of Turkey's largest tour operators, Tez Tour, responsible for international expansion projects including launching new offices in Ukraine and Latvia. Later, Yilmaz was appointed General Manager of IATI Russia, overseeing the Russian operations of this major Turkish travel company.
